The Tax Help program will commence on Thursday 24th July 2014.
Through activities, games, discussion and reflection Rainbows guides children through their grief, moving them towards the healing process by helping them to sort through their confusion and deal with their feelings.
The groups are held at Crossroads Community Care Centre each Wednesday afternoon from 4pm till 4:45pm for a 10 week period starting on Wednesday 16th July 2014.

If you answered YES to any of these questions then this workshop is for you…
David and Hollie from DFit Miranda will be presenting the Eating Healthy on a Budget Workshop at Crossroads. Between them they have years of experience in commercial kitchens and health and fitness as personal trainers.
The workshop will include information about the four macronutrients needed for healthy living and the importance of exercise, you will also be provided with healthy eating options and easy to follow recipes for the colder months, and will be shown the things to look out for when shopping.

Over six sessions parents will learn simple techniques to get children to STOP doing what you don’t want them to do, learn several effective techniques to get your children to START doing what you want them to do and learn powerful techniques that reinforce the bond between parent and child.
Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc. will be running the 1-2-3 Magic Parenting Program from 1pm till 2:15pm every first and third Wednesday of the month starting from 2nd April 2014.

The 2014 Women of the Year Awards were presented on 7 March 2014 (the eve of International Women’s Day) at Parliament House. These Awards recognise the many achievements of women across NSW.
This year 239 nominations were received from across NSW highlighting the outstanding achievements and contributions that women are making in our state and our coordinator Christine Bird won the 2014 Miranda Woman of the Year Award.
Christine was nominated by Local Member for Miranda Mr Barry Collier MP as the 2014 Miranda Woman of the Year. She was recognised for her 25 years of service at Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc. helping women and children who are victims of domestic violence and also for her work assisting people suffering from social isolation, personal trauma and mental health issues.

There were more than 50 people in attendance at the Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc. Grand Opening Event yesterday. Among those in attendance were representatives from Westfield Miranda who generously provided the new premises which now houses the centre and Sutherland Shire Council who proudly supported the event.
The event opened with a Welcome to Country which was said by Aunty Deanna Schreiber, president of the Kuranulla Aboriginal Corporation and was followed by speeches from Centre Co-ordinator Christine Bird and David Ackroyd Manager of the Communities Unit at Sutherland Shire Council.
After lunch Crossroads Centre Activities Manager Linda Sabato showed a photo montage of the Organisations Services and History and then the new organisational website was launched.

Planning is currently well underway at Crossroads for the Grand Opening Celebrations of the new premises.
Scheduled to take place on Wednesday 28th August 2013 from 11:30am, the service Grand Opening Event, which is proudly supported by the Sutherland Shire Council, will be a day where the organisation will be able to showcase all it has to offer to the community.
The event will be Emceed by Media Personality and former Sydney Swan player Troy Luff former and will include a light lunch for all guests in attendance.
All present will have the opportunity to tour the new premises provided by Westfield, meet the Staff, the Volunteers and Members of the Management Committee and learn all about the services provided at Crossroads. The new website will also be lauched at this special event.
